Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

The Gift of Friendship

I've been so blessed to have gotten to know so many wonderful kindred spirits here in blog land.  What a wonderful place it is that we can all come for sharing and inspiration, isn't it?  We are reminded at this time just how precious life is. And how equally precious the gift of friendship is.
So today I'm sharing with you some surprises that I've received in the mail recently by sweet blogging friends.  I had fun adding some "snowflakes" to my photos with PicMonkey, as we don't have any of the white stuff on the ground yet here in Michigan!

Oooh, la, la!  This sweet friend knows just how much I love Paris, and all things that sparkle!
I am in love with my Eiffel Tower, and have placed it among other Frenchy ornaments on our tree.
The rhinestones look gorgeous in the light!
Another sweet friend sent me this pretty glass ornament, in the shades of white and cream that I love so much!
The inside is filled with tuile, that looks absolutely heavenly with the lights shimmering thru it!
And another sweet friend who knows how much I love glitter sent me a pair of these gorgeous twiggy snowflakes!
I've got them hanging in the windows of our sunroom. They are so pretty!
I took this photo from outside, looking into the sun room. While it might not be the best quality photo, I couldn't resist sharing it!  I thought that the reflection of the trees in our yard looked so neat, with glimpses of my little woodland tree and one of the glittery snowflakes.
I am continually amazed at just how many thoughtful and caring kindred spirits there are!
I'll be sharing more photos this week of Christmas around our house, including our 11' tree in the living room!
Wishing you all Peace on Earth.
