Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

I Love A Good Sale, and Other Fun Things!

Hello Ladies!

If you are anything like me, I avoid the crowded malls and stores this time of year in favor of catalog and on line shopping.  So much easier, and no stress!  Nothing like shopping from the comforts of home in your pjs, sipping a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee!  Starting right now and thru tomorrow, I am offering 25% off everything in my Etsy shop.  All you need to do is enter the following code when you check out: luv2save.  It's that easy!  You can click here to visit my shop if you would like.

I've been busy making tags lately (I like to include them as a little thank you with my Etsy orders).  I have become totally addicted to making these paper roses!  I've made these from vintage German sheet music.  It's really hard to tell in the photos, but the flowers are glittered (of course, I glitter just about everything!).

Making tags is such a great way to use of left over bits of paper and snippets of ribbon and miscellaneous trim that you might have.  I love the white pom pom trim on the tag on the right!
I wish that I had more of this vintage aqua velvet ribbon that you see here.  Love!

I had fun embellishing with buttons and rhinestones and Christmas stickers, too!

Yesterday, I received the nicest surprise in the mail!  My sweet friend Cindy Adkins sent me the most gorgeous blue crystal bracelet!
Gorgeous!  Wasn't that thoughtful of her?  Cindy knows that I love blue, and also that I love anything sparkly, so this is just perfect for me!!  Cindy has two terrific blogs, and a beautiful Etsy shop as well.  Stop in and tell her "hi", by clicking here or hereThanks, Cindy, you made my day!!

Donna- I can see that you have been a busy gal. Your stuff is lovely-as always. I hope you sell everything out! I had a crummy weekend- spent the whole of the day in bed today...not like me at all. It's been years since I did that. Just run down and overworked and tired and coughing! Mucho better tonight but am going to continue to lay low until tomorrrow. Have a great night- Diana

These tags and paper flowers are very pretty. I love them. Oh oh - another reason to go check your shop out. I am on Etsy probation - I have to stay away...but maybe I will take one peek and see what you have new!! :).

And I am with you - I never go to The Mall. I have not been to a Mall in maybe three years. I either shop online or a free standing small store. Its much easier for me.

p.s. Love your bracelet from Cindy - especially the pretty blue color.

Hi Donna,
I want to thank you for the kind words you left on my blog about my entry way. You asked if I made the memo board. I did make it and I've added a link to the post that will take you to the post that shows how I made it.

Hi Donna!

The gift tags are gorgeous! I love sparkly things too. What a fun gift to receive.

I've made a ton of paper rosettes lately but mine are not near as pretty as yours. How do you get the edges to look ruffled? Do you crimp your paper?

Thanks,
~Michelle

Beautiful tags!! I wanted to let you know that I'll be bragging about you tomorrow! I'm featuring your pretty "tres chic" tray on my Brag Monday post.

You are having problems? Send me your email on an older post that has to be moderated- like 2 days ago to make sure.

You need to delete this blue background- you can only have one background added at a time. When you delete this one- the other one will show.
Come on over and see the latest post- how to set up the template.

Hey- I love the new background- but what you need to do is go and delete the old background so this new one is the one you see- so go find the gadget that has the old one on it and get rid of it! Then you are up and going girl!
