Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

In Memory of Our Beloved Emily

Our hearts are broken.  We lost our sweet little Emily last week, very unexpectedly.  Emily shared our lives for nearly 10 years.  She was never "just a dog", she was our constant companion, our best friend, a huge and important part of our family.  We took her everywhere.  I never had kids, so Emily was like our child. There are no words to say how devastated we are at her passing.  That it happened so quickly, and over 1,000 miles away from home, in what should have been a fun trip, made it all the more difficult.
We just returned to our home here in Michigan, after being gone for 6 weeks.  Our house is empty, we are numb.

Dearest friend,

I wish I could take some of your pain. We are heartbroken here, and I am so worried about you two.

Try to keep busy and try to remember all the fun times with Emily.

She will be there waiting for you when you cross the Rainbow Bridge. It's not over. One day we all will be re-united.

Blessings ♥

Oh gosh, I am so sorry to hear your sad news, Donna. I know Emily was a beloved member of your family. How crushing to have this happen far from home, too. My prayers are with you and your husband, dear friend.
Look to heaven like Jesus did in that beautiful stained glass window you captured. Emily will be waiting for you there some day.
Sending a big hug,
Susan

I'm so sorry. I know how much one can love a pet like their own child. It is just heart breaking to loose them and so suddenly. I am a spaniel owner. We have had three cocker spaniels and two springer spaniels. They are special loving dogs. ((((((HUGS)))))

I know exactly how you are. I'm so so sad for you. I lost my beloved poodle in july and what did I do ? I bought just one little tiny one. The suffering was there but I could have a little one to cheer. When our so sweet animals leave us it's always too early, and the only pain they give us is to leave us !
Some prayers for you my sweet friend.

Donna,
I couldn't believe it when I saw your title of today's blog post. We had not so long ago wrote about the joys of being Cocker Spaniel parents, as I had lost my beloved Asia so many years ago. I feel so deeply for you and pray for you and your husband. Yes, as others have said, you will see her again... no doubt about it. Sob...
