Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

More Savannah Fun

It's a rainy day here in Savannah, so we've been hanging out at the motor home.  I just keep reminding myself that rain is better than the snow we are getting back at home in the Midwest!
So today I thought I would share with you some more shots that I took when we were downtown the other day.
Just love this gorgeous display in the Paris Market shop.  It is the most amazing store, I can hardly wait to go back and do some real shopping!
 Neat prayer candles.
I don't know what I would do with this paper, but I love it!  Huge rolls of brown craft paper, with neat graphics, including giant knives, forks and spoons.
The Old Cotton Exchange building, built in 1887.  Notice the pretty fountain with the winged lion?  So much history here!

We drove over this suspension bridge when we first got here.  It may not look very large in the photo, but it is huge!  And a bit unnerving driving over it in the motor home!
I just love soaking up all of the unique details, such as these pretty old shutters, below!

After leaving the snow and cold behind, it's such a treat to see green grass, and flowers!
Isn't this old urn amazing?
I'll be sharing lots more photos with you, hope you are having a great day!

Hi Donna,
Oh how I love Savannah! I've been in that shop and so many others. It's such a fun place.

That bridge absolutely terrified me too death. I'm nervous crossing over bridges anyway, but that one was scary!
Glad you are having a good time.

hugs
Sissie

Hi Donna, I've never been to Savannah, but you make it sound so very wonderful.
I will take rain over snow any day :)
You should look for some fun and whimsy umbrella in the French Market . . . I'll bet you could find something that would make rainy days a pleasure :)
Have fun!
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Savannah is a pretty little city! Is that store the one on a corner of the main street? I know... so little information I've given you. Sorry! But the last time I was there, there was a lovely shop filled to brim with lots of french inspired eye candy. Anyway, thanks for sharing your adventures!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos of Savannah, Donna! I just adore this architecture. Makes me smile as I look out the window at our winter wonderland.
Well, at least we have electricity!
Sending hugs from blizzard-central,
Susan
