Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

An Update

Hello Ladies, I want to thank you all so very much for your prayers, and your words of encouragement! It means more to me than you will ever know!  I'm glad I decided to share with you about my surgery, and my fears.  Knowing that you all are thinking of me will make a world of difference!
Unfortunately, I just found out today that the surgery will be postponed until next Wednesday the 25th.  I have a cold (which I was hoping to throw off), and the dr. said that she wouldn't recommend surgery at all while I am sick, as it could lead to pneumonia.  So, I am disappointed that I have to wait (I just want to get it over with!), but yet relieved, as I know it would not be a good thing going into this not feeling well.  Again, thank you so much,  hearing from you all is just like getting a big hug!

Thinking of you and sending you prayers. The anticipation is hard. I'm sure you are disappointed, but you definitely need your strength.

Extra hugs!

Hi Donna,
I was sorry to read about your upcoming surgery...but I'm sure everything will be okay with all the prayers going up on your behalf.
Rest, and get well from the cold. Being healthy will ensure a quicker recovery.
Hugs,
Debbie

Well, here I am, finally. You know you are in my prayers. I know it can be very scary, but I have always had a calm going in for surgery. Maybe because I was young and stupid. You know God has it in His hands. Give him your worries and anxiety. That sunset He gave you was to calm you.
Those crazy cysts can sure make you feel bad, so you will be glad to get rid of that. Let me know if its full of glitter or not. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.
God bless your heart,sweetie- you need to share more. Its time like this when you need others praying for you.
Get up and start walking as soon as they let you. The more you walk, the less you will hurt. Promise.
They cut me from hip to hip and I came home with no pain meds. Walk and walk and walk.
Take care of that cold so you can get this over with before rummage sale season comes!
Big Hugs- Tete

Hi Donna,
Thinking of you. I had the same surgery 7 years ago & I'm feeling great. Just take one day at a time & trust that your Heavenly Father has you hidden in His heart. xo

I'm can imagine how the delay is messing with your head but know that everything happens for a reason even if we never find out the reason. The original day wasn't the right day. Hang in there

Donna I am so sorry you have to have surgery, I have never had surgery either and even though I am a RN I would be scared and nervous too. We will all be here praying and thinking of you. And we are here to listen because I am sure that each one of us will need you ourselves someday.

Dear Donna:

I've just gone back and read your last post 'cause somehow I missed it. Just want you to know that I've been away for quite sometime, in part due to exactly the same problem along with a combo of fibroids. In the end, all is well and if you would like to chat further about this, please feel free to send me an email. My thoughts are with you as I know the unknown can be so very frightening. xox

So sorry about the delay, but better safe than sorry.
About the decals, I get them off Etsy and/or eBay. Sure wish I could paint but I don't have the patience...so these are perfect.
Take care. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
