Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

Home Sweet Home

Just a quick post to say that Thank God, the dr was able to perform the surgery yesterday laproscopically.  So I was able to come home last night, very happy about that:)

When I was in the hospital, I pictured all of you and your prayers and encouraging words, surrounding me in a big warm hug!  And you know what?  I wasn't afraid.  I wasn't nervous.  I knew that I was in good hands.  Hubby and I even made little jokes while we were waiting in pre-op:)  I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at Skagit Valley Hospital.  They were kind, caring, and very attentive.  So your prayers made all of the difference in the world to me, and I appreciate it soooo much!
Not feeling very frisky today.  I'm in alot of pain, but look forward to when I am fully recovered, and can get back to doing fun things like blogging, thrifting, and glittering everything in sight:)  I have a good nursemaid by my side today, hubby took the day off, and is at my beck and call:)

Thank you again for your encouraging words and prayers, you guys are the best!

Thinking of you BIG time and sending you lots of "gentle" hugs. Stay on top of those pain meds and allow yourself time to heal.

So happy that you had such a calm experience.;)
Glad they could do it easily and that you weren't cut from ear to toe to have this done. So much less healing time.
So, how much glitter did they find in there and did they let you bring it home?

Have a great day and walk...it will help with this, too.

Grab some major backrubs from that pilot guy.

Get well soon! Looking forward on your glittery projects :)

Thank Goodness, Donna! I have been waiting to hear how you were doing. What a blessing that they were able to do the easier surgery. I know it is still painful but at least you won't have the wound healing that you would have had with more invasive surgery. You will be back glittering before you know it. xo Diana

I am so glad that you had the lapo route. I am sure you are hurting today. Hopefully each day will be better. My Hubby is always my best nurse.
Brett did well. The surgery went okay......but not sure what is next. He is such a strong little guy. He hurts but won't tell anyone.

Finally made it over to check on you. That was my super charged prayer Donna. That you were calm, and had a less invasive surgery. I told you prayer was a powerful thing. Now praying for a speedy recovery.
