Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

Katie Gets a Haircut!

Yesterday was a big day here at the chateau, as our little Katie got her very first haircut!
Our little fluffy pup is beginning to look all grown up!
We were amazed at just how many spots she had, as they weren't so apparent under all of that fluff!
We think she looks so cute, but I am missing her "puppy look", and all of her downy soft fluff!
Oh my goodness, I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open!
And here she is, the night before, cuddled up with Daddy. Just look at those eyes!
(geez, I sure hope you aren't getting tired of so many puppy pictures around here!!)
When we got back from our camping trip the other day, I was amazed at just how many flowers were blooming in my cutting garden off the back deck.
Zinnia's are one of my very favorite summer annuals, and I'm growing lots of them this year!
I also have tall snapdragons, which look so pretty in the big bouquets that I've been picking and bringing in the house.

The cosmos are doing well, too.
I've edged the cutting garden with a border of marigolds, which I forgot to get a photo of.  Even though they don't smell the greatest, I think they are so pretty!
Love this close up of a hot pink zinnia!
Of course white cosmos are among my favorites.
Not sure what these tall yellow flowers are (below).  They are so cheery looking, I think!
We're getting some much needed rain this morning, I think that will make my blooms very happy!
Have a great day!

Oh that Katie, she is so darn cute and cuddly. I can tell she is very loved. Never get tired of her pictures - you know what a dog lover I am. My two dogs are my babies.
Your flowers are so pretty. For some reason we never get the tall snapdragons, just small one. I am going to seed all my flower next spring and get what I want.
Have a great weekend.

I think its safe to say that we will never grow tired of Katie pictures. She's so darn sweet. What a big girl with her big girl haircut. Precious! I think the cooler weather has helped our flowers hang on a little longer than normal. Gorgeous pictures of your flowers.

Ah, the perfect puppy way to begin your post. I still see "baby" in that sweet little face.

Flowers are beautiful, here it's too hot, even my potted herb garden is done for the summer. Too much rain and now it's in the HIGH 90's.

Hugs ♥

Hi Donna, Katie is so cute in her new hair do!! What a little sweetheart she is. I love her sleepy pics. Too cute.

Donna your flowers are amazing. I just love your cosmos. I bet you have picked gorgeous bouquets. Mine are really stressed in the heat wave we are having. Triple digits again today hitting 106.

Give Katie a puppy hug from me. I could never get tired of seeing her darling pics.
Have a great evening.

Look how cute she is! OMGosh, Donna. I know you will always miss Emily but that Katie is just a little doll. She looks so different-kind of more "grown up" now.

AAAwwww..who could get tired of that sweet little face?? You just keep sharing your girl as she grows, Donna...we all love seeing her!
Your flowers are so pretty. LOVE all the bright colors. The yellow ones are tick-seed(coreopsis)I don't think I spelled that right. They are a perennial. Must be a bird dropped some seed????
Have a fun weekend.
