Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

From Paris With Love

Bonjour Mes Amis!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
I snapped alot of photos on our trip to Paris last week, I hope you aren't getting tired of seeing them!
I took this night time shot of Notre Dame when we were walking back to our hotel after a cruise on the Seine one evening. (I'll share a few of those photos in a later post.)
I think it looks just magical at dusk!
Here it is during the day.  It is one of my very favorite spots in all of Paris!
Just look at these scary gargoyles on the side!
Here's me in front of Notre Dame looking like quite the tourist in a Paris hoodie!  It was unseasonably cool, and I had just brought along a light jacket and was freezing!  So while I would have rather found something a bit more fashionable for oh so chic Paris, at least I was warm and snug in my new sweatshirt!
Notice all of the incredible details of the church?  It is just amazing!

And look at the view of the towers that we get from our hotel balcony (below)!
I snapped the shot above and below at sunset.
Here is where we always stay, Hotel Claude Bernard.  Our corner balcony room was on the 6th floor.
It's  really considered the 5th floor, as in Europe, the ground floor is "zero".
Here are some more views from our balcony, including a wonderful boulangerie (bakery) that you see with the bright green chairs, below.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this adorable bistro set on our balcony this time!
(balconies are quite small in Paris!)
So of course we had to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine!
Cheers:)
Have a great week, looking forward to getting caught up with all of you!

Hi Donna, Your pics from Paris are wonderful. I love the hotel you stayed at and the view was incredible.
You look cute in your Paris hoodie. Looks like a lot of people were all about. So nice you had a little bistro table on your balcony to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine.
So glad you had a wonderful time.
Have a great week.

Such breathtaking photos Donna! Your hotel was gorgeous and I love that little bistro set on the balcony. Swoon! Wish I was tipping your wine glass 'cheers' at that spot! Now I REALLY can't wait to go in the fall.
So happy you had such fun (and looked cute in that Paris sweatshirt)!
