Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

On Dasher, on Prancer, on...........Piglet????

Last weekend, hubby and I went to downtown Seattle to check out some of the Christmas lights.  One of our favorite things to do in the city is go to Pike Place Market, which was all decked out for the holidays.
Ok, I bet you all thought that pigs couldn't fly, right???  Well, I've got news for you:  not only can they fly, but this year a team of pigs is filling in for Santa's reindeer here in the Pacific Northwest!  Yes, it's true!  They were spotted on top of the market at Pike place!

We even have Rudolph!
In keeping with the theme of the farmer's market, there were even giant lit up fruits and veggies!  How fun is that?  The market is always a fun and festive place, even more so at the holidays!

The below photo is a rarity, snow at Christmas in Seattle.  I think this may have been taken a few years ago.

See, I told you they could fly!!!

Even the boats get into the spirit of things!
And I love the shot of the space needle, below.

This is the unofficial mascot of the market, Rachel the Pig.  She is a giant piggy bank, and usually is one of the most popular places for tourists to get their photos taken (poor Rachel, everyone always wants to sit on her back!).
That's it for today, hope you are having a great week!

I love when everything is lit up like that! Looks like a fun place to visit. I think the boat parade is this weekend here. Everyone lights up their boats!
