One of my favorite things to make are glittered embellished jar candles, so I thought I'd share with you today some that I recently sold in my Etsy shop.
I began by covering the candles with this gorgeous French Christmas sheet music from the Graphics Fairy. I really love the sepia tones. I also added copies of reproduction French Christmas postcards. Aren't the little birdies flying over the heart of Paris just too sweet? And of course the Eiffel Tower is one of my favorite memories of Paris, so I had to add that as well.
A very generous dusting of glitter gives the candles a truly magical look when lit!
For the two Frenchy candles, I added very generous bows of crinkly taupe seam binding, and jingle bells for a festive touch!
I also created two beachy candles, with the addition of pretty shell images that I cut from scrap booking paper. I think the colors of the shells are perfect along with the sepia toned sheet music!
To complete the beachy feel of this pair, I added gorgeous aqua crinkly seam binding. Love!
When I was out shopping for jingle bells, I didn't have any luck finding the color I wanted. They all were either shiny gold or silver, or gaudy red and green. Nothing that would go with the vintagy look that I was going for. Since you may have realized by now that there's not much that I don't spray paint, I decided to spray paint the bells a wonderful oil rubbed bronze tone! And of course I had to add glitter, as well!
Here they are, all festive and sparkly!
Hope you are having a great week!

you know I love the effiel tower one! I talked my sister in law into doing one of her paintings with the effiel tower and she did!
I can't believe you glittered the bells! ARG! I feel a Charlie Brown moment coming on...
I do like the color you painted them. The silver and gold are too harsh.
I love to come visit you for my glitter fix, Donna! Such gorgeous creations! The ribbon is to die for, and how clever of you to spray paint the bells.
Have a wonderful season, and thank you so much for your super kind comments over at my place.
I LOVE your Christmas banner, too!
