Hello ladies, hope you have been having a great week!
My favorite shop in town has been hosting monthly flea markets this summer, and I decided to participate in the one this Saturday! So, I've been busy creating, painting, distressing, and glittering my little heart out! Not to mention making tags and pricing everything! So, I thought I'd give you a sneak peek at a few things that I'll be taking to the show!
I adore candle holders of all shapes and sizes, and I especially love this big iron candelabra! I gave this giant iron wine rack my "shabbyfied" treatment with some Heirloom White spray paint, and distressing! This is one piece that I wouldn't mind keeping for myself:) It has a pretty floral and leaf motif, and the distressing really brings out all of its character, I think!
I'm taking my upcycled petite pastry tin magnets. I love the way they look on my silver tray!
I'm not selling my tray, I love it too much! It is just beginning to get the perfect amount of patina!
This chalkboard started out life as a mirror! I was planning on keeping it that way, but when I purchased it from a garage sale, the mirror was so dirty that I couldn't tell that it had a few tiny marks on. Well, I personally like a bit of patina on mirrors, but I imagine not everyone does. So, after painting the frame a bright and cheery turquoise, I transformed it into a chalkboard!
Believe it or not, I found this antique bottle while walking on our beach! I decided to turn it into a "message in a bottle", complete with driftwood, shells and sand found on our beach, along with a rolled up "note"! Cute corner stand. Love!
I found this pretty frame last week, and thought my bird and nest themed paper would be a perfect addition! I'll be sure to take lots of photos Saturday and share with you all!
Today my neighbor surprised me with this gorgeous tussie mussie that she made! She has the most gorgeous flower and herb gardens, and added a very fragrant old fashioned rose, surrounded by mint, rosemary, and thyme. I wish that you could smell it!
She knew that I was feeling a bit blue and homesick (which she knows all about, as she and her husband moved here years ago from England), and thought this would give me a lift! Boy, did it ever!
She even wrapped it in a pretty little white paper doily, and added pretty ribbons. So sweet!Enjoy the rest of your week!
Best wishes with your sales. You've created some lovely things. I'll be anxious to hear how it goes. What a thoughtful neighbor. Such a gorgeous bouquet.
