Yes, it's true! We have dinosaurs currently living here in Michigan!
And they have been busy laying and hatching their baby dino eggs!
Pterodactyl soar overhead.
Ok, maybe I fibbed a little bit!
Actually, all have been spotted at our local botanical gardens that we belong to!
Every fall, the gardens put on an amazing, creative display of scarecrows, made mostly of burlap.
Yep, plain ol' burlap!
The dino you saw in the first shot is huge!
I'll try and get some more photos of him to give you a better idea of just how large he is, as well as some of the other fun characters that are at the gardens.
We are so fortunate to live very close to the gardens. We walk with Katie there every day, on the many trails. She loves it as much as we do!
Ok, wait, what is this?
A giant furry green and pink spider???
Oh, that's right! It is Katie's new fuzzy squeaky toy!
She is feeling a little camera shy...........
Now she's warming up for the camera:)
Trying to look her cutest!
Don't let that innocent looking face fool you!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
I love the botanical gardens, how wonderful you live close to them. It's raining again and I'm housebound so I'll play in my craft room I think!

Donna, I bet the kids love going to the gardens too. What fun to be near it and go when you like. Your puppy is the cutest thing. I have always like her sweet face. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteShe is such a pretty dog and Waldo lays the same way with his hind

Your pooch is adorable! Long ago my grandmother (I am 63 now) had a dog just like that named Sandy. She was adorable, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, what a fun post and those dino eggs from burlap are amazing. Katie steals the show with her cuteness. What a darling new toy she has and looks so happy to be posing with it. Her expressions are priceless and love seeing her comfy stretched out on the floor. I know you all have loads of fun times with her. She is a heart stealer for sure!!

Neat dinosaurs, Donna, and of course Katie is so cute! I miss visiting bloggers, but hope to be back at it more this fall. I'm off to catch up more on your blog....
ReplyDeleteAawww, Katie is such a cutie, Donna. Isn't it funny how fuzz-butts have favorite toys, and get excited when you get them something new...just like kids do?
ReplyDeleteWe used to tell Maggie to go get her boyfriend, and she would run to find one specific toy and bring it back....too funny.
Have a great week!
Love you.

Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteGreat Dino post and your Katie is so cute. I have to tell you we have dinosaurs here on the southern Calif desert... A few blocks from my home a crazy family builds them all over there yard they live on 2 acres of land and it's pretty much taken up with cement Dino's almost to scale of the real ones. Of course we all shake our heads because they don't really fit in and we just don't get it at all, it's not like they are open to the public as a park, the husband just builds them and gets his son's to help!
I should drive by and take some pictures and share with my blogger friends our crazy neighbors, thank goodness they are a bit more then 4 blocks away :)
Our Pia, the Italian GreyHound has her favorite toy as well, it's so cute in how attacked they get to things.
See you soon dear.
Xx
