My Christmas Hutch

Bonjour Mes Amis!
Are you getting into the spirit of things?  It's hard to believe that Christmas is just 25 days away, isn't it?!
Today I thought I'd share with you my antique hutch, that I have all decked out for the holidays.  You may have seen my hutch before. It belonged to my great grandparents, who actually made it, and it's one of my favorite pieces.

I really love how the light shimmers and shines off from these pretty crystal trees!  I use battery operated tea lights on my hutch for safety! I once tried lighting some real tea lights on one of the shelves, and after just a few minutes it left a scorch mark on the underside of the shelf above it, yikes!
This sweet little silvery church is full of glittery goodness, and is one of my favorites!
Love bottle brush trees!  My mom gave me the one above in the silvery urn.  How cute is that?

I made these sheet music votive cups a few years ago.  Easy-peasy, just cover glass votive cups with either scrapbooking paper or actual sheet music, using Mod Podge. Doesn't get any easier than that!
I really love the shape of this urn, which I've filled with assorted greenery and more glittery goodness!
A sweet little cream birdie perched in a vintage milk glass footed bowl.
Love these vintage silver creamers.  I've filled them with glittered pinecones, acorns, and a cute little German glass bird.
 More milk glass.
On top of my hutch sits this cute lantern, which I actually have here year round.  My mom gave it to me several years ago, and I think this is the perfect spot for it!
I really love how the candlelight looks thru this vintage pressed glass creamer.
I always say that I'm not going to buy any more Christmas decorations each year, but of course I just have to pick up a few things!  I found this gorgeous silvery vintage looking (but new) garland at one of my favorite home decor shops in a near by town.  I still had part of a gift certificate to spend there, that hubby had given me months ago for my birthday. So I guess that doesn't count as a "purchase", does it?
I picked up the cast iron cream candle holder several years ago at the Good Will for just a buck!
Another piece that I keep out year round is this French themed large "plaque" that I decoupaged, using one of my very favorite images from the Graphics Fairy.
Here's one last look at the top of the hutch.  The silvery garland is so much prettier in person than my photos could capture!  It's especially beautiful at night when all of the candles are lit!
Next week I'll be sharing photos with you of the hutch in my craft room, that I've spruced up a bit for Christmas.
Have a great weekend, can't wait to see what you all have been up to!

White and silver with touches of gold seem to be the style this year. I am so into it too.
