A day early, of course!
One of my favorite days of the week is White Wednesday, over at Faded Charm, a day when everyone shares all of their lovely whites!
I've shown you my little curio cabinet before. I found it several years ago at a church rummage sale, for free! It was in a very sad state, no wonder no one wanted to take the poor thing home! She had the most ugly dark brown stain on her, and was very sad looking! I had originally painted her green, but I think my favorite look is this nice creamy Heirloom White! So let's take a peek at a few of my treasures inside!
Not sure what you call this vintage cutie! It's a salt and pepper shaker, and little jam pot. Here is a closer look. I just love the darling little jam pot (though I am sure you could store sugar in it, too)!
Look at the cute little spoon! So sweet!
Below is a little vintage book that belonged to my Grandma. I just love old books! I got the cute little angel playing a harp at a craft show many years ago.
Cute little vintage hobnail glass cruet.
Here's a close up of the little angel. Isn't she precious?
Vintage Nippon tea cup.
Vintage inspired card in an old flower frog.
I love moss! I placed some in these little white votive cups.
Here's one more look! Thanks so much for joining me today! Be sure to visit Kathleen at Faded Charm for wonderful White Wednesday!
I can't believe no one wanted to take this little shelf home! So glad you got it and the price is so right. I could so see it on a little desk, too, with all the cubbies to hold all the little things we use when we are working or blogging.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to see about bringing some moss into my little sitting areas. I can't so live plants because the cats eat them, but maybe I could do this in the winter time to add some green.
You always have great ideas!
Hugs and Happy WW early!
Tete
Looks great Donna! You gave her a new life!

Hi Donna, Nice job on your little shelf. There are a lot of those dark, old ones out there..and yours looks so nice painted white. I think that little salt and pepper set was what my mother called Opalesence ware...Now I am thinking it might be Lusterware? I'm surprised Tete didn't jump on that question as she is an encyclopedia of knowledge about vintage stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove your little angel too...but I am missing your angelic picture on the sidebar...where did ya go? Hugs- Diana
What a great shelf-glad you saw the potential-wonderful display piece!
ReplyDeleteWow, you did a great job--it looks fantastic!!! And I love the moss on top--it looks beautiful! (I agree--I love the Heirloom White...it gorgeous in that color!)
