Happy Friday, all! Hopefully you all are having a wonderful weekend. I had much better luck this week at yard & garage sales than the past few weeks, so I thought I would share some of my finds with you. I just love this welcome sign, which only set me back 25 cents! I have already started painting it (of course!), and will be sure to show you the end result.
I was really excited to find this set of wooden candlesticks at the same sale for just a buck! The shortest tow will become part of the base of some shadow boxes that I plan on making, and the larger one will get painted (big surprise!).
At a church rummage sale, I found these two cute corner shelves for just a dollar! I love shleves, and have a hard time passing them up. The one on the right is on it's side, and the one on the left shows the top view. I really love the cute little circle cut outs. Again, more painting in my future! Not sure what color yet, maybe a pretty coastal blue.
Also at the church sale I found these adorable vintage wire shelves, for just 50 cents! It''s funny, but at the same sale several years ago, I found a set of 3 of these very same shelves, that I have since painted green and use in my craft room. I really love the cut out design!
I found these pair of mirrors there too, which I can hardly wait to paint! They are made of a syrocco type material, but they will definitely not look plasticy when I am thru with them!!
One of my girlfriends had a sale, and I bought this pretty little cabinet from her. I plan on giving it a decoupage make over. I thought I would Mod Podge the inside with pages from vintage French books. Won't that look tres chic?! Not bad for a buck, either!
I also bought this cute clock from her for $2, that I plan on decoupaging with a French theme as well.
I was surprised and excited to find at another sale the same exact vintage wire shelf like the one I found at the rummage sale! Except this one is black (or course!) and a bit rusty. I also found there a neat matching wall sconce. I am going to paint them both, and while I really like the sconce, I think it needs something else added to it to give it some more ooomph! Not sure what, though! Oh, I got both of these for just $1!
So, I will be busy painting (and sometimes decoupaging) all of the things you see here! Guess I better get started! Can't wait to see what treasures you found this week!
I am linking up with Debbie Doos Garage Salen Partay, be sure to stop in and check out all of the fun!
I really need to go shopping with you! You find the most wonderful things to fix up. I am looking forward to seeing the finished masterpieces...
ReplyDeleteI am totally coming and stealing the vintage wire shelf! The corner ones too, I adore those. Thanks for joining in on the party this week. I just was signing out for the night and saw your post, I got excited and came over:) Have a great weekend. Debbie

You found some fun stuff! I really like those metal mesh shelves~it's so cool that they're the same as the one's you already have.
ReplyDeleteWhat great deals you found! I really love the metal shelves. They have a great pattern to them and could be painted so many colors to fit anywhere!
ReplyDeleteWow - you got some great stuff. I am looking forward to receiving the blue decoupage tray I just bought from your Etsy shop. You have great eye for interesting things.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great finds again! Maybe I should go shopping with you!
ReplyDeleteOooooh...fun, fun, fun finds!! I like them all. The wire shelves are awesome. I found one of the smae design that was a candle holder and did a redo on it awhile back!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Wow... you found some great pieces! Love those vintage wire shelves! There are so many different things you can use them for... they're terrific!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting and leaving such a sweet comment! I sure do appreciate it!! To answer your question, I did NOT make those candles on my fireplace mantel. I bought those at Target a couple years ago and love them so much I can't bare to burn them very often. I've been wanting to learn how to make candles, because I can never seem to find ones I love anymore (hence, why I don't want to burn them - lol).
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Donna, you made a pretty good haul this time around! It's raining and thundering here today, so I won't be able to go to any garage sales... maybe a couple of thrift stores tho!!
