Hi there ladies, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. the above photos show what the baby swans on our lake looked like back in May.
This is what they looked like in June.
And this is what they look like now! They are so fun to watch, and they are almost as big as their parents, now! Not sure if you can see in the background (I didn't notice it until I uploaded the photos), but their is a Schwan ice cream truck in the background. I don't know if Schwan's are in business where you live, but the logo on the side of their truck is a swan! How appropriate!
Check out the swan stretching his neck! How funny is that?!
Nothing like the simple pleasures of nature to help forget all of our worries and cares, even if just for a moment!
Thought I would wrap up this post by sharing a few blooms in our yard. I love this hibiscus!
We have both pale lavender and white.
I love pink flowers, and I love zinnias, so this is one of my favorites!
One of my friends gave me this hydrangea for my birthday back in May. I hope I can keep it alive!
This little cherub is watching over our back door! It was given to me by the same friend, several years ago. She knows my taste so well!
Here's a closer look. Wishing you all a wonderful week!
The swans are beautiful. Just gorgeous. Don't see anything like this in Miami Beach.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Donna! I love seeing the swans...I haven't seen any on our lake before...they must have been fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteLove the swans and their little ones, fun to watch...so beautiful!! As are your floral pics...just gorgeous!! Do you live on the lake?...we have a pontoon boat too so just curious. Looks so pretty there.
ReplyDeleteDonna, glad you showed updates of the swans---how quickly they grow. The Canadians on our pond took their babies away so we didn't get to see them mature. My 18mm glass bubbles came from Etsy...I used a better grade since they were for jewelry --you can also use the bags of decorative marbles you can find about anywhere--they just aren't a true round like the glass bubbles. Get some and play! You can make magnets out of them too!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna~~the swans sure grow fast, don't they? We've still got a few baby ducks, but no swans.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful...and I LOVE the cherub!! What a great friend to give you such nice things for your home.
Hugs,
