Welcome to my blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I believe that everyone can have a beautiful home without spending a fortune! One of my favorite things to do is find creative ways to re-purpose things I already have on hand, or have picked up at yard sales and thrift stores. Join me as I share with you some of my favorite ideas for crafting and decorating, as well as travel adventures, and fun things that I pick up on my treasure hunts! Much of my work is influenced by my love all things French, nature, and of course shabby chic! I have gotten so many creative ideas from you very talented bloggers out there, and I hope that I can be an inspiration to you as well!

Meet Molly

Hi Everyone,
It's been quite some time since my last post.
The past month has been a very difficult one, with the sudden loss of our sweet Katie.
I wanted to thank you so much for all of the kind words and comments you left.  It truly means alot.
Katie was our heart dog, and we will always miss her.  Losing her left a huge hole in our hearts and lives.
As difficult as it is for hubby and I to move on, to us a house isn't a home without a fur baby.
So, I would like to introduce you to our new dear one, 9 week old cocker spaniel Molly.
We just brought her home Monday night, and we love her already!
She has brought laughter back to our house, is very active and happy, and is keeping us more than busy on
"puppy patrol"!

She has a face that would melt anyone's heart, I do believe.
We are having lots of fun, but are tired keeping up with her:)
While it is a bittersweet time, with thoughts of our Katie, we know that Molly will
become our kindred spirit pup too, and help heal our hearts.
She loves looking at herself in the mirror.  Wow, looks like I have quite a few little paw and nose prints to clean!  Both of Molly's parents are show dogs.  Her dad is a national champion.  We aren't into the show thing, so Molly won't be going that route.
But it sure looks like she may be into a little primping!
Just had to share this "action shot" below.  Much of her day is spent chasing and playing in the house.
I've not had the heart to blog since Katie.  I thought I would discontinue writing my blog, life just hasn't felt the same.  But, I have missed you all and will be visiting to see what you've been up to.
So, for now my plan is to just post once in awhile, not that often.
I will be popping by to visit, though.

Hope you all are doing well.

Molly is adorable! I know how you feel. I lost my Ellie,a cavalier King Charles spaniel, just 2 weeks ago. She was 11 years old and dearly loved. I am also thinking about getting another.

What a little sweetheart Molly is! My parent's had a Molly so if you need some funny nicknames, let me know ;) I am glad to hear that she is bringing laughter and love into your life. Enjoy the puppy stage with your new little darling!

Donna,
I hoped a new puppy angel guided and protected by Katie would enter your lives and today you introduced us to Molly. Little Miss Molly is adorable with a preciousness of mischief in her face. Of course she loves mirrors after all her parents are beauty contestants and those glamour genes are passed down, lol. Looking forward to you posting and sharing from your heart with Molly.
xoxo,
Vera

Really come visit and blog when you feel like it. I miss you but understand a broken heart oh so well. I'm not ready for another kitty yet, but I know in time I will.

You have a new baby so must spend more time working and playing with her! Blogging once in a while is perfectly okay--that is what I do! Enjoy parenting!!

Donna, I am so happy for you. Molly is adorable. The picture of her looking at herself in the mirror is adorable. Tell her I will introduce Peanut and Reuses to her. I can't until tomorrow they're snuggling in bed for the night

I am so happy to see you posting again. It will do you good, to come back now and then to visit your friends and occasionally post. It does my ♥ good to see you again and to know you're healing. Molly is exactly who you needed at this time in your life...and I'm certain she is just as happy to have you!

I know first hand, like many others do, how hard it is to say goodbye to our fur babies. A sudden parting, I think, is something very difficult to go through. There is no time to say good-bye...no last pictures...no nothing. There's seldom a week that goes by, where I don't think or mention Benny when I'm talking about my PuppyKids. He's still very much missed. He was gone 3 weeks, when I was finally ready to go and pick up the Pup [Angel] who I'd adopted prior to his death. It was the best thing I could have done!! And I'm so glad I had selected the name Angel, prior to meeting her in person. She truly is an Angel...named Angel.

Hugs,
Jan

Golly, Miss Molly! Oh, Donna. She is the cutest thing! I knew you would adopt again. A house just ain't a home without paws. (And noses)
You guys just have too much to offer not to have a baby around. Just look at those big eyes. She is just beautiful and looks like a handful. Glad you are back. This place just wouldn't be the same without you.
Puppy kisses sure can heal a heart. Can't wait to see Molly grow into her paws.

Your new baby is adorable, Donna. I'm glad you and John have someone to bring some joy back into the house again. She will keep you so busy, you won't have time to blog for a while...lol.
It was nice to see a post come up from you.
Enjoy your little one.
Love to you, sweet friend.

I'm so behind on blog reading, Donna. With Emma's high school graduation, everything has been on hold. I'm so sorry for your loss and so happy for your sweet furbaby. I will get caught up on your blog. Pinky swear.
